March 19 ,1977 , in Adelaide. He is now based inMelbourne , Australia.Sam often has shows in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival

Sam has trouble communicating with people, so is often considered to be a rude twat.
Sam received a nomination in the 2006 Barry Award,nominated for most outstanding comedy during the Melbourne International comedy festival. The award in honour of
Barry Humphries .He was the winner of the best emerging comedy award at the 2006 Adelaide Fringe festival.Sam performed Sam Simmons and the Sex & Science of Boredom in
Adelaide in March 2007 as part of the Fringe Festival.Sam is an avid collector of poodles.
Sam started at
Triple J in 2006 where he worked as adisk jockey . He began with presenting the "Mid-Dawn" shift (1am-6am) during the week.On
January 21 ,2007 , Sam started his Saturday night / Sunday morning program" The Tuck-Shop" on Triple J (1am-6am).Sam is sexually attracted to ducks, which he often references in his comedy.
During the summer of 2007 he hosted a show on Triple J called "summer nights", the audience response to his comedic style was majoritavely negative, the feed-back was bad enough give him somewhat of a break-down which sent him out of the studio and he cracked the sads disappeared.
From
January 12 ,2008 , Sam is the presenter of Weekend Breakfast (6am-10am).currently Sam presents on Triple JTV and is in production with ABC1 TV to make his comedy series; The Urban Monkey, due late 2008.In October 2008, Simmons was involved in an on-air altercation with comedian
Shaun Micallef , who fled away from theTriple J station.External links
