Plastic Toys are an electro-rock band formed in late 2003 based in Southampton, UK. The 4-piece group are made up of Jon Plastic (Vocals/Guitars), Alex Howe (Bass), Si Jackson (Guitars) and Ben Coley (Drums). The band's debut single, "Let Me Feel The Love" was released in July 2007 by Pinnacle Distribution and went straight into the UK Indie chart at number 30. Their debut album, "For Tonight Only" was released on the 4th of February 2008. It went on to be given glowing reviews by Classic Rock magazine, Metal Hammer Magazine, and many other smaller magazines.

The band have become extremely well known for their electrifying and energetic live stage shows and their use of technology, particularly the use of social networking websites, vodcasts, video gaming, instant messaging and next-generation internet music websites to reach out to their audience.

Career

Formed from the remains of a popular Uk metal group Karmic Jera and electro-glam rockers DNA Doll, Plastic Toys won ITV’s unsigned band competition by a landslide and were voted into the top 5 unsigned bands by Kerrang! They held the Number 1 spot on BBC Radio 1’s “One Music” chart for eight weeks.

They are odds-on favourites to win the Orange mobileAct competition to find the UK’s most exciting band and have been invited to play at Germany’s PopKomm festival, Canadian Music Week and as support to Shiny Toy Guns.
