Thomas "Tom" Payne (born 21 December 1982) is an English actor. He is currently most well-known for playing Brett Aspinall in television drama series "Waterloo Road".

Tom grew up in Bath where he attended King Edward's School and was a prolific contributor to the school Drama Department. He attended the Central School of Speech and Drama, graduating in June 2005. Having recently appeared Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day and the second and third series of "Waterloo Road" for the BBC, Tom is currently filming 'Marple: They do it with Mirrors' for ITV. He is then to play George Best for the BBC.Tom was named as one of Screen International's Stars of Tomorrow 2007.
