Allegiance Communications is a American provider of cable TV, broadband Internet, and VOIP telephony services to rural and mid-size markets in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. Beginning in 2004 as a unit of The Wicks Group, Allegiance acquired small cable systems and subscribers in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. The company bought a large system with 29,000 subscribers from Charter Communications in 2006. Local services include cable TV, HD channel services, pay-per-view, high speed internet, and VOIP services. Allegiance also utilizes point to point wireless for enhanced penetration to rural areas with lower subscriber density.
