Residents' association

Residents' association

Residents associations are formed by groups of people from a specific locality who come together to address issues within their local area and act as a voice for their local community and make the experience of living in or around their neighbourhood a more pleasant one.

The majority of Associations are structured to include a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer and committee members. These positions are decided by way of nominations at an Annual Group Meeting during which these positions can be challenged/altered.

Some Associations come together to address one specific issue, whilst others hope to address a wider spectrum of matters.

A large number of Residents Associations have websites, for example -
