Linda Harasim

Linda Harasim

Linda Harasim is a Professor of Communication, Faculty of Applied Sciences, at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia. She holds a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Alberta, and a Ph.D. in educational theory from the University of Toronto.

She has been active for over a decade in researching educational applications of computer networking. She has designed, implemented, and evaluated networking applications in Canada, the U.S., and Latin America. She is also leading the Virtual-U Project, one of the first networked multimedia learning systems in the world that is customized for course delivery and course enhancement at all levels of education.
