Sharon Lambert is a fictional character in the ITV1 soap opera "Emmerdale". Her first episode was broadcast on February 13 2007. She is portrayed by Victoria Hawkins. She returned for a visit from June 2, 2008 to June 17, 2008.

Character's background

Sharon is the estranged daughter of Woolpack landlady, Val Lambert. Mother and daughter have not seen each other for a very long time. Sharon will be getting married soon and sends invitations to half brother Paul Lambert and aunt Diane Sugden, but not to her mother. Paul and Diane wonder whether to accept or not but it also becomes clear that there are issues between brother and sister as well. Sharon is getting married to a footballer by the name of Daniel McHerron. At a Valentines Day at Skipdale Hall Val went to meet Sharon, only after seeing in a magazine that she was marrying a footballer. After Val got very drunk with Daniel Sharon walked in and demanded security. A massive argument erupted and it was revealed that Val had slept with Sharon's first boyfriend, he was 17 and Sharon was 15. After Val was thrown out John McNally persuaded Val to go for drinks and the next morning the entire thing was on the "Hotten Courier". When Paul, Diane and Eric discovered what had happened between Val and Sharon they were disgusted with her. Ultimately, Sharon and her footballer did not wed, due to his cheating on her.

Sharon returned to Emmerdale on 2nd June 2008 for her mother's wedding to Eric, and seemed to be a reformed character. She set her sights on David Metcalfe and ended up snogging him after the wedding. He only saw the relationship as a fun time, but she constantly called and texted him and helped get him business contacts. One of her WAGs friends had a dog she couldn't take on an overseas trip. Nicola Wheeler, Sharon's rival, offered to dogsit. A few days later, the dogs went missing and David and Nicola found one in the B&B where Sharon was staying. They overheard Sharon telling a friend that she didn't really care about David and was only staying in town until time for another big party with the rich and famous. At the Woolpack, Nicola informed Sharon that David had dumped her for Nicola. They got into a catfight and when David broke them up, she hit him over the head with a tray. Val, furious that Sharon had reneged on her offer to take her to the next big party, washed her hands of Sharon again. Sharon said she wanted nothing to do with any of them and left town.
