"Kid Rock" is an eponymous album by Kid Rock and his fourth Atlantic Records album. It was released in 2003. It was critically acclaimed by "Rolling Stone Magazine"; they named it one of the 50 Greatest Albums of 2003. It is the worst selling studio album for Kid Rock under Atlantic Records.

Lyrical content

Lyrics range from sex on "Cadillac Pussy", "Feel Like Makin Love", "Rock N Roll" to self worth on "I Am". He looks back to his childhood when he was teased on "Black Bob" and talks about heroin addiction on "Jackson, Mississippi". He covers divorce from the female perspective on "Hard Night For Sarah" and the male perspective on "Single Father" as well. He takes a look back at his career on "Rock N Roll Pain Train" and glorifies himself being a redneck on "Hillbilly Stomp" and "Son of Detroit". The album has two love ballads in "Cold And Empty" and "Do It for You" and a kiss off ballad in "Run Off to L.A.", the lone rap song his called "Intro" with him boasting how great he is.
