White American Culture

White American culture is the largest proportion of American culture. From their earliest presence in North America, White Americans have contributed literature, art, agricultural skills, foods, clothing styles, music, and language to American culture.

In the United States, the term "suburban culture" is considered a euphemism for White American culture and is sometimes used as a racially neutral alternative.

Language

Distinctive patterns of language use among White or European Americans arose primarily though interactions with Native Americans and the African American community. In the United States, as opposed to Europe, people interacted with diverse populations on plantations, at trading posts and in cities.
