"This Is Why I'm Hot" is a single by rapper Mims. It reached #1 on the U.S. "Billboard" Hot 100, #2 on the "Billboard" Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and #1 on the "Billboard" Hot Rap Tracks.

The song debuted at number one on the "Billboard" Hot Digital Songs chart, selling 140,874 downloads Fact|date=November 2007. It remained the top-selling digital single for one additional week.

By early March 2007, the online release of the song had propelled it from number 32 to number one on the "Billboard" Hot 100 in one week; this was the third-greatest rise to number one in the history of the "Billboard" Hot 100. Song highlights

The song features samples from Kanye West's "Jesus Walks", E-40's "Tell Me When to Go", Dr. Dre's "Nuthin' But a "G" Thang" and Mobb Deep's "Shook Ones Pt. II". Each sampled song is played when MIMS mentions the area from which each artist originated ("Shook Ones, Pt. II" for New York, "Tell Me When to Go'" for the Bay Area, "Nuthin' But a "G" Thang" for Compton, and "Jesus Walks" for Chicago).

The official remix, titled "Blackout Remix", features Cham and Junior Reid, which it's featured in the album.

A sample of the song plays before every at bat for New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez at all home games at Yankee Stadium.
