It derives its name from the sand banks ofMorecambe Bay , above which the main 96.9MHz transmitter is located. Other transmitters are located near theLake District towns of Windermere (102.3) andKendal (103.2), near the A684. Shows on The Bay include: "The Bay Breakfast" and "The Bay Drive Time". The Bay serves around 310,000 people with the majority of the audience being in the district of theCity of Lancaster (pop. 133,914), with the largest settlement beingBarrow-in-Furness (pop. 71,981), Lancaster (45,952),Kendal (pop. 27,521) andUlverston (pop. 11,210) see also the districts ofSouth Lakeland and the Borough of Barrow-in-Furness.Previous presenters
