Pavel Pergl

Pavel Pergl

Pavel Pergl (born November 14, 1977 in Czech Republic) is a football central defender. Pergl is currently playing for AEK Larnaca in Cyprus, having left English Championship side Preston North End on May 8, 2007. Prior to joining Preston, Pergl played in the Czech Republic for Sparta Praha, competing in the UEFA Champions League. Pavel Pergl has been prone to frequent serious injuries in the past few years. He also suffers from family problems leading to erratic unprofessional behavior on his part. On July 5th 2008 he requested to be released from AEK Larnaca citing problems with his wife as the reason behind his decision.
