Kannambadi

Kannambadi

Kannambadi was a village near Mysore. It was chosen as the site for the construction of the Krishna Raja Sagara Dam in 1910. The village subsequently submerged under the water after the dam was completed. Because of this fact the dam is also known as "Kannambadi katte" in Kannada.
There is another Kannambadi. Its full name is Aane Kannambadi in Hassan district of Karnataka.
