Karoline Herfurth (born
22 May 1984 ) is a German actress.She is probably most well known to English speaking audiences for her appearance in "", the 2006 film adaptation of
Patrick Suskind 's best selling novel. The feature was directed byTom Tykwer ; Herfurth played the "Plum Girl", the first victim of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille. She co-starred withDustin Hoffman ,Ben Whishaw ,Alan Rickman ,Rachel Hurd-Wood , andJessica Schwarz , another German actress. It was the famous picture of Herfurth with Whishaw in the background that was used vastly in promotion.Previously to her appearance in this international feature, she had performed in several independent German films and TV projects, especially "Girls on Top" and "Big Girls Don't Cry".She has finished working on a movie called "
