Gaetano Zompini (
September 25 ,1700 –May 20 ,1778 ) was an Italian printmaker and engraver, known for his prints depicting workers from the lower classes inVenice . Born inNervesa della Battaglia , he apprenticed withNiccolò Bambini . He also completed frescoes inPalazzo Marin in Venice. At times, his etchings recall the painted work ofPietro Longhi and other genre painters of Northern Italy.
