Tenuki Games

Tenuki Games is a software company based in San Francisco, CA. The name of the company appears to be inspired by the ancient Japanese game Go. In Go, Tenuki means "playing where your opponent is not".

Atari, the company that introduced the video game console, the Atari 2600, in the late seventies, also has a name inspired by Go. Atari is the name of a position in Go where the player only has one route of escape.
