USS Thomas Jefferson

Two vessels of the United States Navy have been named USS "Thomas Jefferson," in honor of Thomas Jefferson, third President of the United States:

* The first USS|Thomas Jefferson|APA-30|3 was an attack transport in service from 1941 to 1949, and scrapped in 1974.
* The second USS|Thomas Jefferson|SSBN-618|3 was an "Ethan Allen"-class ballistic missile submarine commissioned in 1963. She remained on active service until 1985.

Fictional ships

* An aircraft carrier named USS "Thomas Jefferson" was the setting of the novel "Nimitz Class" by Patrick Robinson.
* An aircraft carrier named USS "Thomas Jefferson" has appeared as a location on the TV show JAG.
