The name was chosen by Gina, who grew up inDomegge di Cadore , a village in the Italian Eastern Alps, theDolomites MPCit_JPL|18883. She remembered the nights she spent looking up at the stars outside her childhood home, and as her interest inastronomy started there, she thought the name would be appropriate.
