- Eric Wake
Dr. Eric Wake, Renaissance and Reformation historians, is an alumnus of the
University of the Cumberlands , having graduated with a B.A. in History in 1965. In 1967, he earned an M.A. in History fromTexas Christian University , after which he returned to Cumberland as a member of the faculty. While on a leave of absence from the college, Dr. Wake continued his studies atTexas Christian University and was awarded a Ph.D. in Early Modern Europe in 1973.Dr. Wake currently serves on the
National Advisory Committee forPhi Alpha Theta , the international honor society in history. For many years, Dr. Wake has acted as faculty advisor forUpsilon-Upsilon , the college’s award-winning chapter of this organization. He is also an active member of theAmerican Historical Society , theSouthern Historical Society , and theKentucky Association of Teachers of History .Publications and presentations
