Harald Feller (born in 1914 in
Switzerland ) was a Swiss diplomat who saved Hungarian Jews during theHolocaust . He replacedMaximilian Jaeger (c1915-1999) as head of the Swiss legation inBudapest, Hungary , in 1944. He supportedCarl Lutz with the rescue of Jews under Swiss protection. Toward the end of the war, Feller hid dozens of Jews in the basement of his consular residence in Budapest. In February 1945, the Soviets arrested Feller and Maximilian Jaeger and sent him toMoscow , along with other Swiss nationals.
