Train of Many Colors

The Train of Many Colors is the New York Transit Museum's IRT nostalgia train used for excursions. The name comes from the fact that the cars are painted in many varying schemes from different eras.

Recently, parts of the train have been used for regular service on the 42nd Street Shuttle route. The train has run regular service on several lines. There are 12 cars painted in various schemes as listed below, 10 of which can be on the train at any one time (11 on the 7 line).
