The company name comes from the first letter of the surnames of the three partners who founded the firm, Ken Jones, John Barlow and Dave Ashley. Until end of July 2004 the company was run by Ken Jones and Dave Ashley and based inStandish, Greater Manchester . Tim Banwell bought the factory on August 1st 2004.
