James Thomas Blair, Jr. (

Blair was born in
Maysville, Missouri in 1902. He was a member of Missouri state house of representatives. Later he was a colonel in theU.S. Army duringWorld War II .Politics
Blair became the mayor of
Jefferson City, Missouri in 1947. He served as theLieutenant Governor ofMissouri between 1949 and 1957. He served as the Governor between 1957 - 1961.He and his wife, Emilie Chorn Blair, both died at their home of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning when fumes from a car left running in the garage entered the house through the air conditioning system.
