History

The station went on the air as WAKN on September 8th 1995. On April 4th 2000 the station changed its call sign to the current WNSX. In late 2000 the station was bought by Clear Channel Communications and began simulcasting WFZX before carrying Fox Sports Radio for several years before returning to a simulcast of WFZX.
