"I Can Get It for You Wholesale" is a 1951 romantic drama film made by Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation. It was directed by Michael Gordon and produced by Sol C. Siegel from a screenplay by Abraham Polonsky and Vera Caspary, freely adapted from the novel by Jerome Weidman. The music score was by Sol Kaplan, the cinematography by Milton R. Krasner, the art direction by John DeCuir and Lyle R. Wheeler and the costume design by Charles LeMaire.
The film stars Susan Hayward, Dan Dailey and George Sanders with Sam Jaffe, Marvin Kaplan and Harry von Zell.
The film is only very loosely based on the novel, sharing its setting in New York's garment district and certain general themes, but with completely different characters and story.
Weidman himself adapted his novel somewhat more faithfully in a 1962 Broadway musical also entitled "I Can Get It for You Wholesale".
