Tim Kirk is an American fan artist. He has been a senior designer at
Tokyo DisneySea . Previously, he was anImagineer forWalt Disney , and anillustrator forHallmark Cards . He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Commercial Art, and his Master’s degree in Illustration fromCalifornia State University , Long Beach. His thesis project consisted of illustrations for "The Lord of the Rings " byJ.R.R. Tolkien , and was published byBallantine Books as the 1975Tolkien Calendar . Today, Kirk runs Kirk Design, Inc., a design firm in theLos Angeles ,California area. He sits on the advisory board of theScience Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame .
