3 August 1957 ) is a German former football (soccer) goalkeeper who played inEast Germany . He played during most of his career for the football clubDynamo Berlin where he was East German champion ten times in a row from 1979 to 1988. He was also the goalkeeper of the East Germany national squad for over a decade before the collapse of the country between 1989 and 1990.He was also known for being impressively tall for a football player, 2.02 meters.
