Anant Kakba Priolkar (or Priyolkar) is an
India n historian widely known in academia for producing the most authoritative work on theGoa Inquisition entitled "The Goa Inquisition". The book was first published in 1961 and was very well-reviewed by his peers. Gerald M. Moser ofPenn State University said that the book was an authoritative work on the event based on accounts of European travellers and Portuguese historians and that it "reopened old wounds, recalling the dismal record of European religious intolerance" in India "through the most pitiless inquisition of Christendom" [Review of TheGoa Inquisition , Being a Quatercentenary Commemoration Study of the Inquisition in India by Gerald M Mosser, Journal of American Oriental Society,84.4 (1964)] .He has also written about the history of the printing press in India and the history of Medicine in
