Friends of Sierra Leone

Friends of Sierra Leone(FoSL) is a non-profit organization dedicated to "serving Sierra Leone" [FoSL official website (About Page) [http://www.fosalone.org/about.php] ] . They have ofer 500 members, the majority who are former Peace Corps volunteers.

Recent/Current projects

Gift of Limbs

FoSL recently sponsored a project called Gift of limbs (GOL) [FoSL official website (GOL Page) [http://www.fosalone.org/GoLBackgroundPaper.html] ] . It found eight amputees,mostly children, and fitted them with prosthetic limbs. The orphaned/abandoned children were also found homes for.

This project was completed.

FoSl bought a generator to power a youth radio station. This would provide some education for many the Sierra Leonian children who get little or no education.
