42d Attack Squadron flys
MQ-9 Reaper UAV's and is currently based out ofCreech Air Force Base in Indian Springs,Nevada . The 42d will oversee the training and combat deployment of pilots andsensor operator s assigned to the new MQ-9 Reaper. According to squadron commander Lt. Colonel Jon Greene, by 2009, the 42d Attack Squadron should have 18 Reapers assigned for training and deployment purposes. All aircraft will employ the AN/DAS-52 Multi-Spectral Targeting System developed by Raytheon.Fact|date=May 2007History

Texas as abiplane training unit. The squadron saw action inWorld War II asbomber unit .Reactivated on
November 9 ,2006 , at Creech Air Force Base.The unit received its first MQ-9 on
