Liriope (nymph)

Liriope (nymph)

In Greek mythology, Liriope is a Boeotian naiad, who was probably the daughter of one of the Boeotian or Phocian river Gods. Liriope was loved by the river-god Cephissus, who was himself the son of Oceanus and Thethys. With Liriope, Cephissus bore Narcissus.
