Background

The album was released by Mute Records in the United Kingdom on May 21 2007 and in North America on the following day, May 22. The Japanese release date was May 14 2007, and bonus tracks and a music video are included in that version. The album's first single, "I Could Fall in Love with You", was released in the UK on April 2 2007, and in North America the following day. "Sunday Girl" (not the Blondie song of the same name) is the second single, released in the UK on June 11, 2007 and in North America on July 18. The album touches upon themes of love and the ups and downs of relationships (which are familiar lyrical Erasure territory) and "Storm in a Teacup" references singer Bell's mother's alcoholism.

The album is available as two different editions: a standard 10-track CD album (CDSTUMM285) and a special 12-track deluxe limited edition CD album (LCDSTUMM285).
