Todd Benjamin Heap (born March 16, 1980 in Mesa, Arizona) is an American football player who currently plays tight end for the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League. He went to Arizona State University. Heap holds the record for most receiving two-point conversions in a single season, with four, during his 2003 season with Baltimore. He is also noted as one of the few tight ends to lead his team in receptions 2 or more times.

Early years

At Mountain View High School (Mesa) he was Mountaina 5A Player of the Year. In the state championship game, he threw a 26-yard touchdown pass. Heap chose to go to Arizona State University.

College career

At Arizona State, he finished his college career with the tight end reception record, catching 115 passes. The record had previously been held by Ken Dyer. He was a Pre-Business major.

Career In NFL

In 6 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, Heap has played in 82 games, averaging 13.6 games per season. He has 316 receptions for 3658 yards and 26 touchdown receptions in his career. He was the last player taken in the first round of the 2001 NFL Draft when Baltimore chose him with the 31st pick. Baltimore was just coming off a victory in Super Bowl XXXV when they chose Heap. He is a two time Pro Bowler, and is the Ravens' all-time franchise leader in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.
