Longlowong, New South Wales

Longlowong is a small regional town located in the central west of New South Wales, Australia and established in the late 1800s. The name "Longlowong" is derived from an Aboriginal term of unknown meaning.

The region is largely supported by dairy farming and cheese production as well as stone fruit orchards.

A major cultural event of the township is the annual Longlowong Regional Eisteddfod held at the Digby Theatre. When it was built in 1927, the Digby Theatre was the proud centerpiece of the district.

Longlowong is part of the Cabonne Shire and shares the postcode 2804 with the more populated township of Canowindra.
