In 1994, he made his daytime debut as con-manDavid Vickers on the ABCsoap opera "One Life to Live ". In early1996 , he left the show to pursue othertelevision projects. That same year, he joined the soap opera "General Hospital " in the recurring role of Dr. Pierce Dorman, but was written off the show in 1997. He went on to star in theShowtime series "Beggars and Choosers" as Malcolm Laffley for its two-season run in 1999 and 2000. In 1999, he made hisfeature film debut in "The Mummy". After brief appearances in 2001 and 2002, Watkins permanently rejoined the cast of "One Life to Live" from 2003 through 2006, with several short term returns to the show in 2007.
