- Jeremy Kinsman
Jeremy K.B. Kinsman is a retired Canadian career diplomat. He was the Canadian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom (2000-2002) and the Canadian Ambassador to the European Union (2002-2006).
Born in
Montreal ,Quebec , he graduated fromPrinceton University in 1963 and theInstitut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris in 1965. He joined the Department of External Affairs in 1966. During his career, he was the Canadian ambassador to theRussian Federation ,Azerbaijan , Georgia,Kazakhstan ,Kyrgyzstan ,Belarus ,Armenia ,Tajikistan ,Turkmenistan ,Uzbekistan ,Italy ,Albania , and theEuropean Union . He was also the Canadian High Commissioner to theUnited Kingdom andMalta . He retired in 2006.He also has been contributing editorials to the cbc.ca website.
