Carr Communications

Carr Communications is one of Ireland’s leading public relations and training companies. It was founded in 1973 by the Irish television presenter Bunny Carr who had identified a need for specific training in communications skills for people appearing in the media.

Building on this core service, the company has grown to encompass other areas of activity over the years. Its expansion into public relations while under the management of former director Terry Prone gave it a high profile in Irish media to the point where the brand is now a household name in Ireland.

The company was subject to a management buyout in 2004 when the then Managing Director Dermot McCrum along with co-director Donal Cronin and Fergus Hoban became the new owners. Dermot McCrum stepped down as MD in 2008 and was bought out by Cronin and Hoban who now jointly own the company. The company’s current Managing Director is Tony Hughes, previously Chief Operations Officer at Touchstone Healthcare.
