These were the two scouts who took Michael Carrick away to West Ham and both were big fans of Carl's, regularly watching him banging in the goals with monotonous regularity for South Tyneside Schools'Under 15's and Jarrow F.C. Under 15's.Finnigan scored 59 goals for United at reserve level from 102 appearances. He was top scorer this season at Newcastle with 5 goals for the reserve team.Finnigan plays as a
striker and has been brought in to replace the departed Anthony Stokes who left the "Bairns" to play for Sunderland. He is renowned for his strength, intelligence, technique, eye for goal, his speed down the right wing and lethal finishing.
