East Carolina University Dental School is the future
dental school atEast Carolina University . It is in the final stages for the State of North Carolina's second Dental School.
*July 12 ,2002 - Feasibility study was reported at the BOG meeting. It stated that "recommended the establishment of an academic dental department at East Carolina University to support the expanded residency program and the establishment at East Carolina University of a residency program in pediatric dentistry." *November 10 ,2006 - Unanimously passed by University of North Carolina Board of Governors. The first mention of a School of Dentistry came from Phyllis Horns, Interim Vice Chancellor for Health Sciences. On
March 19 ,2002 , Vice Chancellor Horns announced at the Faculty Senate that ECU was looking into pursuing a Dental School.
