Asleigh of Clifton, was part of a master plan to develop the portion of Henderson Road (VA 643) between Winding Creek Court (VA 4559) and the junction with Wolf Run Shoales Road (VA 610).

The communities of Ashleigh of Clifton, Winding Creek, and Wolf Run got built before the convert|5|acre|m2|sing=on law was issued stopping development plans. Plans included about 12 more communities on about 40 acres of land including townhouses, 2 two story residentials, and possibly a new elementary school.
