Harold R. DeMoss, Jr. (born
December 30 ,1930 ,Houston, Texas ) is a senior judge of theUnited States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit . He was appointed to the court in 1991 by PresidentGeorge H. W. Bush , and took senior status in 2007. His chambers are in Houston.Judge DeMoss graduated from
Rice University in 1952 and the University of Texas Law School in 1955. After serving in theUnited States Army from 1955-57, he joined the Houston law firmBracewell & Patterson , where he became a partner and remained until his appointment to the bench. In 1988, he took a six-month sabbatical from the firm to work on the campaign of the first President Bush.External links
