Turner graduated from
Newington College in 2005 to represent Australia at u/19 level, and made his Waratahs debut against QLD in the 2006 APC.Career
Turner plays club rugby for Eastwood and usually plays as a winger. In 2006 Turner became the first person to take out the
Chris Whitaker Aspiring Waratah Award for the most outstanding player in the NSW Waratah Academy. He established himself in the Waratahs first team during the disappointing 2007 season. The highlight of the season for Turner came during the clash against the Crusaders at Aussie Stadium when he scored a solo try from his own half, beating several defenders for pace.Turner capped off the 2007 Super 14 season by being named Rookie of the Year. On May 25 2007, after a stellar Super 14 season, he made his debut for Australia A against Tonga at Aussie Stadium in Sydney. He scored three tries in a man-of-the-match debut performance. After this performance many commentators expected him to be included in the Wallabies

An injury to Lote Tuqiri will see Turner make his test debut on July 5, 2008 against France in Brisbane.
