George H. W. Bush in 1991.Born in Cleveland,
Ohio , she attendedJohn Carroll University in Cleveland. A 1975 graduate of theUniversity of Florida College of Law , she served executive editor of the law review and interned withLegal Aid . Following a clerkship with federal judgeJohn A. Reed , she joined Young, Turnbull & Linscott. A year later, she joined the firm of Wells, Gattis & Hallowes, where she became a partner in 1981. In 1982, Judge Conway began practicing with Carlton, Fields, Ward, Emmanuel, Smith & Cutler, where she stayed until her appointment as judge.Conway serves on the board of advisers for the Center for Governmental Responsibility at the
