Alex Quinn (broadcaster)

Alex Quinn (nee Hammond) (born 13 May 1974 in Sheffield, England, but brought up in Derbyshire) is a British television reporter and presenter on the Sky Sports News segment "Good Morning Sports Fans" , where she has worked since June 2003. Even when she isn't on air, she is often referenced due to her horse-racing "Tip of the Day".

She competed regularly in BSJA showjumping events as a junior, before beginning her working life in the pedigree department of one of the top thoroughbred studs in the United Kingdom, as an assistant. She then moved on to become a secretary and work rider for Jack and Lynda Ramsden in Yorkshire, before they moved to France. At this time, she rode in over 50 English amateur races on the flat; her best was being placed in Ascot's Diamond race on the horse Ellway Price.

Progressing into the world of media, she became a founding presenter of The Racing Channel and also presented a racing show on Talksport radio. She later became a presenter on the At The Races channel.

Alex has also written columns for the Daily Mail [http://www.stellargroup.co.uk/presenters.php?id=9&arrid=0] .
