The shell is similar to "Placostylus ambagiosus ambagiosus" in size and shape, but with only the basal lip
tubercle well developed. The coloration differs also in being dark warm brown externally and reddish-brown within the aperture. The shell height is up to 72 mm, and width up to 32 mm.Conservation status
