This subspecies is found at an altitude of about 500 ft under cover of stunted
ngaio (Myoporum ) scrub.hell description
The shell is smaller and narrower than the typical "Placostylus", with a taller spire. The shell height is up to 97 mm, and width up to 36 mm.
