The Absurd

The Absurd

The Absured is a band founded in the autumn of 1984 in Cologne, Germany. It has a constantly rotating line-up performing throughout Germany led by Michael Frank. However, the unitive concept of the band is to allow the musicians to play whatever type of music they feel like playing [ [http://www.theabsurd.de/main.php The Absurd's Homepage (click on News at the bottom of the page)] ] . The repertoire includes diverse styles ranging from classical to psychedelic rock to blues to jazz. This is due to the diverse backgrounds the musicians have.

Since the launch of their website in 2000, The Absurd have posted an Advent Calendar every December, with a different song and image for every day of December through the 24th. This collection runs the gamut of psychedelic rock, free jazz, hard rock, and avant-garde.
