In computing, GCA is a freeware compression utility created in 2000 by nihongo|Shin-ichi Tsuruta|鶴田真一|Tsuruta Shin'ichi. GCA is a compressed archive format. It has higher compression capabilities than ZIP, especially with binary files. The next generation of GCA is 'DGCA'. Not widely used other than being used by some Japanese programmers for compressing characters from the M.U.G.E.N. game engine into one file.
