Mr. Ho is a one-shot manga, drawn and wriiten by Akira Toriyama. It appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump #49 in 1986 and was later released in the compilation Tankōbon, Akira Toriyama's Manga Theater Vol. 2.

Plot

The story is about a former soldier from the north named Mr. Ho who's car broke down while driving through the South. After a war between the North and South ending recently, Mr. Ho is not treated to kindly by the citizens of the south for being a soldier from the north. While at a restaurant trying to find a place to get a car Mr. Ho meets a young boy named Chazke and his Anthropomorphic cat friend, they agree to let Mr. Ho use the car from his ranch in exchange to teach them how to use weapons to fight off the Chai Gang who have been terrorizing the south. When they get to the ranch, Mr. Ho meets Chazke's older sister (which he saw earlier when his car crashed) who takes a disliking towards Ho. While keeping his end of the bargain, he is taken to their basement where he finds lots of military weapons that belonged to Chazke's deceased father. Just then the Chai Gang show up to the ranch because they found it suspicious and decide kidnap Chazke's sister, Ho fails to stop them by tripping over a bottle. Mr. Ho gets equipped with all the military arms and takes off to the Chai Gang's Base in a plane that was in their basement. While at the base Mr. Ho easily defeats the entire Chai Gang as well as their boss revealing that Ho was part of the legendary Unit 223 which was known as the Black Berets. After Ho blows up the base, He returns to the ranch with Chazke's sister who now likes Ho and the story ends with Mr. Ho and Chazke's sister together driving off in the car.
