Anatole Andrejew (born 1914) is a French scientist of
Russia n origin.Anatole Andrejew was born in
St. Petersburg . After theOctober revolution of 1917 he left Russia with his parents forLithuania , first forKaunas and after two years to Wilno, then in Poland. After passing his baccalaureate exams at the gymnasium in Wilno, he leftPoland in July 1932 for Paris, where he studied biochemistry.After the studies, he worked at the Pasteur Institute, where he specialized in the research of the tuberculosis. In 1953 Anatole Andrejew published with an American scientist William F. Drea "The metabolism of the tubercle bacillus ".
Now retired, he divides his time between
Paris andHonfleur in Normandy, with painting as his main pastime. His works were several times exhibited and Anatole Andrejew received numerous awards for the amateur painters. His style is post impressionist. He paints mostly views of French cities and landscapes.Selected publications
